A shocking video has emerged from the United States-Mexico border, where an illegal alien got caught on the wrong side of the barrier and thought it would be a good idea to run from border patrol agents. Little did the punk know, he would instantly regret breaking the law.
According to Blue Lives Matter, the video was recently recorded, capturing a chase and takedown of an illegal alien who was trying to get back over the border barrier after unlawfully entering the United States. Border patrol agents have been working hard to keep illegal aliens from crossing the United States-Mexico border and have actually been allowed to do their jobs since President Donald Trump took office, and the video is a great example of their fine work.
In the clip, which was also uploaded to YouTube, a man dressed in black pants and a black sweater can be seen running from a border patrol agent who is pursuing him in a truck. The suspect is seen trying to climb up a ladder to join the person who is recording the incident from the top of the barrier but he doesn’t stand a chance. The punk only makes it as far as the first couple step on the makeshift ladder before the border patrol agent grabs him from behind.
It is worth noting that since Trump gave border patrol agents the green light to do their jobs, border patrol crossings have dropped to a level not seen in decades. According to Breitbart, acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says President Donald Trump took off the “handcuffs” placed on Border Patrol agents by the Barack Obama’s administration. The result: illegal border crossings dropped to a 45-year low.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the parent agency for U.S. Border Patrol agents, issued a report showing that apprehensions of illegal immigrants crossing the border between ports of entry fell in the fiscal year 2017 by 26 percent. Apprehension dropped from 408,870 in FY 2016 to 303,916 in FY 2017. This represents the lowest number since 1972, Homan stated on Fox News.
Homan also said that ICE actually deported fewer people in 2017 compared to the previous year because of the decreased number of illegal crossings. Deportations dropped six percent from the prior year to 226,000 people. The director noted that interior immigration enforcement is also up this year by 42 percent with more than 110,000 foreign nationals being arrested.
The viral video, which unfortunately does not have audio, shows exactly why the border crossing attempts have decreased. Of course, the liberal hand-wringers are probably crying a river over this video, but the truth of the matter is that people who enter our country illegally are breaking the law. So, in my opinion, the suspect in this video got exactly what he deserved.
The agent in the video struggled with the suspect and was able to eventually pry him off of the ladder. The suspect then ran around the border patrol agent’s truck and attempted to run back to the ladder a couple of times. The agent continued to pursue the suspect on foot until another agent arrived and jumped out of his vehicle to help.
At this point, the suspect is way too tired to outrun a fresh pair of legs and gets slammed to the ground and taken into custody by the second border patrol agent. Although there isn’t any audio in the video, I’ve imagined a soundtrack that might include “Time To Say Goodbye” or, perhaps, “Another One Bites The Dust” to spice it up a bit.
The border patrol agents seen in the video deserve our gratitude and respect for their hard work and commitment to keeping our borders secure. After having their hands tied behind their backs for 8 years during Barack Obama’s time in office, it’s good to see them getting back to work and keeping our citizens safe.
